The rise of people with high hypertension increases on a yearly basis. Over one billion people world wide suffer from this condition. That being said there are three types of food you can buy at the grocery store to lower your blood pressure naturally.

The foods are lean protein, fibrous vegetables and water.

You can get many vitamins and minerals form your "veggies". Also "veggies" have a very high water content and they are a good source of carbohydrates.

Broccoli and asparagus are excellent examples of fibrous vegetables. You should eat them raw most of the time to preserve the vitamin and mineral content.


More than 60% of your body is water; another 18% is of fluid content. A loss of only 2% of body fluid results in a measurable decrease in physical and mental performance and overall sluggishness.

Dehydration causes the heart to work harder, because your of low fluid level – thus your blood level is much lower so the heart has to pump harder to move the fluid through your blood vessels.

Generally, you want to drink 6-8 glasses of water a day. On days that are hot and humid you want to increase your fluid intake.
