Lose Belly Fat Safely – 3 Things You Need to Do

If you are looking to lose belly fat fast, you are in for a surprise. I have been there done that only to have it come back again. Are you truly serious about losing belly fat safely? Do you want long lasting results and things you can do that fit in to your schedule.

I have gone the "nutritional cleansing" route.. How healthy is it if your meal plan consists of two shakes and a 400-600 calorie meal per day. Perhaps if you are sedentary that works; however I exercise 2-3 times a week. Sure I lost the weight, became thinner and had less energy. And the weight, 10 pounds of the 15 I lost, came quicker with a vengeance.

That being said, I did find that making smarter food choices is helpful.

Losing your belly gut safely takes time, effort and commitment. If you are not ready to put the time then do not even bother! It is simple to lose your belly gut, not easy. If someone tells you it is easy turn around and walk away. Now, instead of looking for the quick fix to lose belly fat, you should look for the most realistic method to do it.

After doing more research and personal implementation I started to lose weight again more naturally. I came across three important things that you need to do to lose belly fat:

Food Choices

Avoid foods that contain high fructose corn syrup. This includes but is not limited to steak sauce, cool whip, pop tarts, soft drinks, cough syrups, ice cream, salad dressings, cereals and ketchup. Eat carbohydrates that are nutrient dense or only have one ingredient. For example an apple or strawberry is nutrient dense as compared to a bagel. This alone should help you lose belly fat safely.

Be careful with your intake of starchy carbohydrates such as bread, pasta, potatoes and white rice. Too much of these and you will definitely look like a sumo wrestler! Cut down on simple sugars and cream. If you drink coffee like I used to (extra large double) make an effort to reduce the size and the amount of sugar and cream you put in it. Just doing this will be a major step in the right direction.

Finally, make sure you eat your breakfast within the first thirty minutes of waking.

Exercise

Start walking to lose belly fat. This is a great thing to do to get your body moving, blood circulating and muscles pumping. Working out with body weight or weights helps to builds muscle. This will help boost your metabolism.

You can do body weight circuits or light weights with lots of reps. The key with exercise is consistency. Find a time in the day, before or after work, that you can fit in to your busy lifestyle. Perhaps there is a gym at your work place or you have space in your office. You need to find the time.

Sleep

Getting the appropriate rest and recovery from both your work and your work outs is vital. Your body will break down if you do not get enough rest. When it does the body burns protein instead of fat for energy. You need your recovery time to lose belly fat. This is the he most overlooked part of any weight loss strategy. Adults generally need 7-8 hours of sleep on a regular basis. How many do you get. I am guessing five to six?

In summary, combing good healthy eating habits with exercise and recovery will lead you to lose belly fat.
